WHERE YOUR DONATIONS GO

The Chaldean Community Foundation is dedicated to improving the stability, health and wellness of members of the community through advocacy, acculturation, cultural preservation, and community development.  In addition to these successes, CCF also provides English as a Second Language classes, citizenship preparation classes, early childhood development programming, mental health services, health care assistance through Project Bismutha, and vehicle and small business loan assistance through the Michael J. George Chaldean Loan Fund.

As CCF expands to meet the needs of clients, we will be extending services, programs, and attainable housing options with an emphasis on older adults in Oakland County. Without the support of our great community, our clients, and our strong donor base, we wouldn’t be able to function and expand the needed services and programs.

CCF launched its Mission Campaign to raise $20,000,000 to support CCF’s mission and programs. 100% of the funds raised from the Mission Campaign goes towards:

  • Expanded Community Center, offering expanded services to clients and the community. Workforce development, Behavioral Health, Life Skills Center for individuals with disabilities and Early Childhood Education are included in the 30,000 square foot expansion.
  • Michael J. George Chaldean Loan Fund provides low interest loans to help newly employed clients purchase a vehicle.
*Applications subject to approval by the Michael J. George Chaldean Loan Fund Committee.
  • Van Dyke Housing Development: 135 one- and two-bedroom units to support long term housing for new Americans.
  • Breaking Barriers: Provides assistance and advocacy to individuals with special needs and respite to caregivers. From providing respite to facilitating group recreation events, families that have members with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD) are invited to gather for 10 theme-based events annually. These events are meant to facilitate personal development and a sense of community.

GIVE TO
DONOR ADVISED FUNDS

In memory of the late Vivian Esshaki Shouneyia who lost her battle with breast cancer, Giving Hearts is a legacy project committed to alleviating the financial duress related to medical care expenses and its associated burdens.

The John Loussia Cancer Foundation provides financial assistance to those impacted by the high cost of medical expenses.

Waad Murad Advocacy Fund

The Waad Murad Advocacy fund supplies a minimum of $10,000 reward money for information that leads to the arrest and conviction of the assailant(s) of violent crimes committed against businesspeople in their workplace. In the event of a violent crime, the group mobilizes to publicize the reward and details of the crime, keeping the event current and helping to generate leads for law enforcement.
